Learn Python -Day 0

By Hariom Lohar (hariomlohardev) · 363 words · committed in public

Hi, I'm Hariom 👋

I'm a CS student at UoPeople, currently based in India. Right now, most of my time and curiosity goes into learning about AI and AGI — especially AI safety and research, which I find endlessly fascinating and important as this field keeps growing.

This week, we're starting with the basics of Python — and today is Day 0. I'm excited to have you here, and I'm looking forward to learning and growing together over the next two months. Let's get started! 🐍

📅 Day 0 — Setup Day

Before we officially start Day 1, we need one setup day to get everything ready. This is Day 0 — a one-time day just for installing and setting up the tools we'll use throughout the course.

By the end of Day 0, you should have:

  • ✅ Python installed on your computer
  • ✅ A code editor (VS Code) installed and ready
  • ✅ Git installed
  • ✅ A GitHub account created

Don't worry if this feels new — just follow the links below step by step, and we'll also go through it together in our live session.
